Update: Fairfield's engineering dept. approved Sam's design and apparently this thing is out to bid (construction).

Good luck, whoever you are!

update from Fairfield purchasing, 2nd hand:

Estimated start is any time after July 1 due to some utility work finishing up. They're expecting bids from Grindline, Breaking Ground and Tom Noble/WhoSkates. Bids come in at the last minute, June 18th. The $ results will be on the Fairfield CT purchasing website on June 19th. When I figure that out I'll post up.

I live in Fairfield and just recently caught on to this project.

Are there any updates?

It should be starting any day now. Someone more in the know hasn't returned my call. The asphalt was supposed to be dug up and so far it hasn't been. I'm not stopping by every day, though, either. If the asphalt is gone then they're on their way this week.

You Fairfield peeps should get mobilized for some last minute fundraising for bonus features. Bikini car wash = more concrete.

You might want to go into DayOne skateshop in B'port & talk to Jeff. He knows all the Fairfield guys.

Are the plans for the park available anywhere?

Just curious what it's going to be like.

The bowl is dug, 1/3rd the way with rebar. Looking really good. But don't quote me and no I'm not posting pics. As I explained to Gumpers "I'm a consumer just like anyone else" as this will be my new local. So yeah, I'm stoked.
